Troubleshooting · Get unstuck

Find the first broken link in the chain

Most stalls come from fuel, housing, prerequisites, inputs, crew, or storage. Check them in that order before assuming the game needs more waiting.

Fuel reached zero

  1. Ground routes whose fuel burn makes the deficit worse.
  2. Move available crew into Refueler work.
  3. Enable any fuel production you paused and inspect its required inputs.
  4. Crank fuel manually if the action is still available.
  5. Wait for a positive buffer before restoring other assignments or adding housing.

Other unstaffed production is not globally disabled by empty fuel, but crew desertion removes the people who drive much of the field. Recover the roster deliberately.

No pilots are arriving

A build or research choice is unavailable

  1. Read the card’s prerequisite line.
  2. Check every resource in the cost, including crafted or traded goods.
  3. Check storage caps; you cannot save for a cost above your cap.
  4. For aircraft, check fleet capacity as well as build materials.
  5. For a converter, verify its input producers and enabled state.

An aircraft or route will not launch

Progress feels too slow

Choose one next objective and identify its slowest input. Improve only that link, then reassess. If every major path is slow and the New Horizon preview offers a meaningful permanent purchase, reset rather than leaving the game on an unproductive plateau.

iCloud progress did not appear

  1. Confirm both devices use the same Apple Account and have iCloud Drive available.
  2. Open Pilots on the device with the more advanced save and use Save Now.
  3. Leave the app in the foreground briefly, then open Pilots on the other device.
  4. Check Settings for the latest sync time and any iCloud-unavailable message.

The native apps do not expose a manual save-code transfer screen. The more advanced iCloud save is designed to win so an idle device does not roll back active progress.

The online manual will not open

The in-app How to Play guide is built into Pilots and remains available offline. This extended manual needs a connection on its first visit; pages you open are then cached for later reading when the browser permits it.

Still stuck or found a bug?

Send the screen, the last action you took, your device model, OS version, and Pilots version/build to support. Native saves contain detailed game state but the app does not currently expose them for manual export.

Open Pilots Support

iOS: open the gear, then Save Now before reporting a repeatable problem. The built-in How to Play guide is also available there.
macOS: use ⌘S before reporting a repeatable problem. Open the built-in Flight Manual with ⌘/ even when you are offline.
